Property Manager
Location: Colchester
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are looking for a Property Manager to work in our property management team. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio that will encompass a mixture of blocks of flats, houses and estates and will report to our Head of Property Management.
Main Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Ideally the candidate will be qualified to at least ATPI but we will also consider other candidates that are training or willing to train towards this.
- Setting budgets and approving invoices.
- Financial management.
- Hosting AGM and Directors meetings.
- Conducting site visits.
- Understanding and implementing Health and Safety or other legislative requirements.
- Able to build up and maintain excellent relationships with directors.
- Excellent customer service skills.
You must have:
- ATPI qualified, training toward or willing to train toward.
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working in Property Management.
- Excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills.
- UK Driving licence, as you will be required to complete site inspections.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, basic building maintenance and other legislative requirements relevant to Property Management.

- £25,000 – £40,000 (salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience)

Finance Administrator Assistant
Location: Colchester
Contract: Part-time 25 hours per month, Permanent
We are looking for a part-time Finance Administration Assistant to work along side our accounts team. The successful candidate will work closely with the accounts team providing administrative support.
Main Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Monitoring internal email accounts.
- Checking invoices and uploading them to our system, Blocks Online.
- Matching receipts.
- Calling contractors to confirm their banking details.
- Uploading/double checking budgets.
- Updating and allocating payments to Leaseholders statements.
- Helping the team to keep close watch on debtor account balances and reducing debtors.
- Assist in aspects of Credit Control such as updating ongoing cases, sending late payment reminder letters, implementing payment plans and corresponding with mortgage lenders.
- Responding to client’s queries via telephone and email.
- Updating and using spreadsheets.
- To have/develop a good understanding of what Service Charge and Ground Rents are and the role of the Managing Agent.
You must have:
- Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) level with passes in English language and a relevant mathematical/accounting subject.
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working in an accounting environment, ideally within the private sector leasehold
- Strong data entry accuracy.
- Microsoft Excel at intermediate level, alongside Microsoft
- High attention to detail with the ability to see and challenge
- Strong communication skills, able to liaise with non-financial internal and external customers.

- Able to prioritise workload and use own initiative.

Please note: due to the nature of this role, the right candidate will need a high level of attention to detail and as such may be asked to sit a competency test if invited to an interview.
